Introducing Brewd Production

When we first decided to start Brewd we knew we couldn’t have everything on day one. As a matter of fact, our first idea for Brewd was to create a marketplace that allowed online ordering for retail establishments so that retail locations could order online. History is a good teacher and we learned from our previous experiences and decided against the uphill battle of propping up a marketplace. Instead, we reached out to breweries and asked them about their pain points. As a result, we decided to tackle the logistics side of self-distribution and we launched Brewd with product inventory, sales, and delivery. Within a year we also added keg tracking to the software suite. However, based on our conversations with our customers and other breweries, we knew a big piece was missing. That piece was beer production software.

History is a good teacher and we learned from our previous experiences and decided against the uphill battle of propping up a marketplace.

We started with beer distribution software because we have more background in logistics, ordering, and accounting than we do in full-scale brewery operations. We estimated that if we can build a big enough customer base using the ordering and distribution software, we could then involve our customer base for feedback to build out Brewd Production. Our goal was to build brewery management production software that fits into a brewer’s existing brewing process and not software that requires a brewer to change how they work. And that, my friends, is what happened!

At the Craft Brewers Conference (CBC) we were exceptionally proud to launch early access of our Brewery Production platform. We understand that the platform is not yet fully loaded; we did that on purpose. We built out Raw Materials Inventory, Recipes with Operating Procedures, Batch Management, and Packaging. We chose these functions because it was the minimum that we and our advising brewers felt needed to be there in order to manage the grain to the glass.

We are now leaving the rest up to you! That’s right, our customers get to dictate what we build and when we build it.

We are now leaving the rest up to you! That’s right, our customers get to dictate what we build and when we build it. Based on the feedback we will prioritize what is next to be built out. Want full batch costing? Predictive brew scheduling? Great! Sign up and give us feedback. We figured the best way to get a bunch of customers to provide a lot of feedback would be to practically give it away, which is why we are offering it for only $29/mo with a one month free trial.

We plan on keeping this price until our offering exceeds the functionality of the competition, when we’ve become a complete Brewery ERP Software solution. At that point we will move the price to something in line with the list price of our sales/crm product. For more information, visit our Brewd Production page.

Since you made it to the end of the blog, we’re offering you a 6 week free trial of Brewd Production and/or Sales. Just sign up with the promo code BLOG6WKS.
